A Word of Redemption

Last words are powerful. And that is especially true of the final words Jesus spoke from the cross. As Jesus suffered crucifixion for us, the gospel writers recorded seven sayings of Jesus from the cross, seven last words. These sayings echo through the ages to us today and they are the focus of our Lent series Last Words. As we prepare our hearts for the celebration of resurrection on Easter Sunday, we will take a closer look at these final words Jesus spoke before he died on the cross and discover their significance for us today. This week we hear Jesus' remarkable promise of redemption, even when it seems too late and as if all is lost.
