A PLACE FOR EVERYONE.

We are a church known for our ridiculous hospitality. When people join us for worship, we go out of our way to welcome them and remove as many distractions as possible so that together we can meet Jesus in singing and Scripture. Obviously the pandemic has made it challenging, but all the more necessary to live into our hospitality. And I’m so proud of how our church has responded with grace and patience and gentleness these days!

During the past year we have followed the guidance given us by the Centers for Disease Control, New York State, and the Genesis Conference. Our heart is to provide a safe and healthy environment for worship and to protect as far as possible all attenders, especially young people and those vulnerable to illness.

Recently the CDC and NYS updated guidance for fully vaccinated people—those fully vaccinated people no longer have to wear masks or keep socially distant, with a few exceptions. The Genesis Conference has updated our conference guidelines to reflect these new standards as well.

In light of these new guidelines, we are making the following adjustments in our policy beginning this Sunday May 23, 2021:
  • Those who have been fully vaccinated may go without masks in our facility. As per the CDC and NYS guidelines, those who are not vaccinated are asked to continue what we have been doing: wearing a mask when moving about the building and when singing, but masks for all can be removed while seated in the sanctuary.

  • We will continue to keep our chairs in the sanctuary physically distanced (we will not be implementing a vaccinated seating section).

  • Out of respect and compassion for those who are immuno-compromised and children who are not vaccinated, we are asking all staff and public-facing volunteers to continue to wear masks while serving for the next little bit. This includes those volunteers who are fully vaccinated. We are going the extra mile to put people at ease so that their hearts can be ready to worship Jesus without distraction—ridiculous hospitality.

  • No one will be checking for proof of vaccination at the door - we trust the integrity of our people. Ultimately this is a matter between you and Jesus.

  • We will continue to encourage pre-registration for worship services for at least a few more weeks, simply to make sure that we don’t overfill our services and have to turn anyone away at the door (we’ve gotten close a few times).
We know that our circumstances will change again in the future and we will keep you up-to-date as best as possible. Thank you for your prayers and patience and gentleness as we move forward together in these potentially awkward days. Thank you for being a ridiculously hospitable church! Masked or unmasked, our mission is still the same: to love God, love others, and grow disciples of Jesus

If you are not yet comfortable attending an in-person service, we understand and respect your decision! You can stream the service live on our website, Facebook, or YouTube pages at 10:30am.

Face Coverings

We will be adopting the latest guidance from the CDC and NYS regarding vaccinated persons. Beginning this Sunday (May 23), those who have been vaccinated will no longer be asked to wear a mask in the church building.  As per the CDC and NYS guidelines, those who are not yet vaccinated are asked to continue wearing a mask when moving about the building and when singing, but masks can be removed while seated.
